Homemade Steel Cut Oats with Banana and Yogurt
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup steel cut oats
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp almond yogurt (optional)
Preparation
Add oats, water, cinnamon, and ginger to a sauce pan.
Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer.
Allow oats to cook for about 10 minutes on low heat.
Add in banana and continue to cook for another 10 minutes until oats become creamy and absorb most of the liquid.
Remove from heat and fold in yogurt.
Serve as desired with additional fruits like golden berries, blueberries, pomegranate, almond butter, nibs, pepitas, and hemp hearts.
