Vanilla Cardamom Oats
Ingredients
- vanilla cardamom oats
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp ground flax seed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of ground cardamom
- pinch of nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 cup almond milk ?
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer
Allow to cook for about 5 minutes to thicken and then remove from the stove top
For the bananas, I sliced half a banana into 1/4 inch slices and place either on a greased pan or good quality non-stick pan and cook for about a minute on low-medium heat without touching
Then add 2 tsp maple syrup, 2 tsp of water, a pinch of cinnamon and pinch of salt
Flip banana slices carefully to cook on the other side for another 1-2 minutes
Top oats with cooked bananas
