Vanilla Cardamom Oats

Ingredients

  • vanilla cardamom oats
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of ground cardamom
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 cup almond milk ?

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer

  2. Allow to cook for about 5 minutes to thicken and then remove from the stove top

  3. For the bananas, I sliced half a banana into 1/4 inch slices and place either on a greased pan or good quality non-stick pan and cook for about a minute on low-medium heat without touching

  4. Then add 2 tsp maple syrup, 2 tsp of water, a pinch of cinnamon and pinch of salt

  5. Flip banana slices carefully to cook on the other side for another 1-2 minutes

  6. Top oats with cooked bananas
