Baked Chocolate Chip Protein Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 flax meal
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 serving protein powder
  • 1/2 cup cassava flour
  • 1/4 cup gluten free rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Sea salt to sprinkle

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix flax and water and let sit for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Add mashed banana, maple syrup, and nut butter; mix until creamy.

  3. Add flour, oats, chocolate chips, and baking powder; mix until dough forms.

  4. Pour into a bread pan or spread about 1.5 inches thick on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with sea salt.

  5. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 17-20 minutes.
