Copycat White Bean and Basil Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Cannelini or White Beans, rinsed and drained or 14 oz cooked and cooled white beans
  • 3/4 cup fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 Cup olive oil

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth.

  2. Enjoy!

Tips

  1. For an oil-free option, substitute 1/4 cup tahini for olive oil.

  2. White beans may provide weight loss benefits due to alpha-amylase inhibitors that slow carbohydrate absorption.
