Blackened Shrimp Tacos with Mango and Avocado

Ingredients

  • 1 lb extra large shrimp
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil

Toppings

  • Tortillas
  • Mango
  • Avocado
  • Tomato

Preparation

  1. Mix the spices together in a small bowl

  2. Wash and peel the shrimp if needed and pat dry

  3. Coat the shrimp with 1 teaspoon olive oil and the spices

  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little more olive oil, then add the shrimp and cook for 4 minutes, flip, and cook for 4 to 5 more minutes

  5. Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked shrimp in tortillas and topping with mango, avocado, and tomato
