Indonesian Shrimp Fritters
Ingredients
- 250 grams shrimp
- 100 grams all-purpose flour
- 50 grams rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Water as needed
- Chives, finely chopped, as needed
- Oil for frying
Spice mix
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- A pinch of turmeric
Preparation
Mix the all-purpose flour, rice flour, salt, and ground spices. Pour in water and stir until well combined.
Add the shrimp to the batter mixture, then finally add the chives.
Heat the frying oil, scoop one tablespoon of the shrimp batter mixture, fry over medium heat until golden brown, then remove and drain.
Tips
This dish is great as a side dish or with gado-gado salad.
