Spicy Fried Salted Squid

Ingredients

  • 250 grams salted squid
  • 2 lime leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • Powdered stock to taste
  • Oil for sautéing

Ground spices

  • A handful of red chilies mixed with bird's eye chilies
  • 2 small tomatoes
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 13 shallots

Preparation

  1. Soak the squid in hot water for 10 minutes, cut to your preference, wash it clean, and drain.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the ground spices and lime leaves until fragrant.

  3. Add the squid, then add salt, sugar, and powdered stock. Adjust the taste. Cook on low heat until the oil releases and the squid is cooked. Remove from heat and serve.

Notes

  1. This dish is a favorite but should not be consumed frequently due to high cholesterol content.
