Squid with Petai and Green Chili
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil for sautéing
- 2 bay leaves
- 15 petai beans, halved
- Whole bird's eye chilies, to taste
- 250g fresh squid
- 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
- 100ml water
- Salt
- Granulated sugar
- Pepper
- Seasoning
Spice paste
- 6 green chilies (curly variety)
- 6 shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
Preparation
Heat oil, sauté the spice paste until fragrant. Add petai, bird's eye chilies, and bay leaves.
Add squid, stir until it changes color. Add salt, sugar, pepper, seasoning, and oyster sauce, mix well.
Add water, cook until water evaporates.
