Indonesian Sayur Godok Stew
Ingredients
- 1 chayote, cut lengthwise
- 1 carrot, cut lengthwise
- Shrimp as needed
- 5 red chilies, sliced thinly
- 20 bird's eye chilies, sliced thinly
- Lemongrass
- Galangal
- 2 tablespoons palm sugar
- Salt
- Mushroom seasoning
- 500 ml water mixed with 4 tablespoons fibercreme
Ground spices
- 7 shallots
- 5 garlic cloves
- 2 candlenuts
Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the ground spices, galangal, and lemongrass until fragrant, then add the water mixture and stir until it boils.
Add the shrimp, chayote, carrot, palm sugar, salt, and mushroom seasoning, stir well. After it boils, taste and adjust seasoning, cook for a short time, then remove from heat and serve.
