Desi Tortilla Wraps with Savory and Dessert Options

Ingredients

  • Oil (for sabji)
  • Some cumin seeds
  • Pinch of asafoetida powder
  • Some finely chopped garlic cloves
  • Some finely chopped green chillies
  • Some finely chopped ginger
  • Some finely chopped onion
  • Some turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Spoonful of water
  • Boiled chopped potatoes
  • Some chopped coriander leaves
  • 4-5 chapati
  • Dhaniya pudina chutney
  • Some shredded cheese
  • Some salad (finely chopped carrot, onion, cabbage and capsicum)
  • Some chocolate spread
  • 1 banana
  • Some choco chips
  • Some almond flakes
  • Butter (to roast wraps)

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic, green chillies, ginger, and onion, sauté until fragrant

  2. Add turmeric powder, salt, and a spoonful of water, then mix in boiled chopped potatoes and cook until combined

  3. Stir in chopped coriander leaves and remove from heat

  4. For savory wrap assembly, spread dhaniya pudina chutney on a chapati, add the potato mixture, shredded cheese, and salad, then roll up

  5. For dessert wrap, spread chocolate spread on a chapati, add sliced banana, choco chips, and almond flakes, then roll up

  6. Roast the wrapped chapatis in butter until golden and crispy
