Spicy Indonesian Tofu with Tamarind Sauce

Ingredients

  • tofu
  • 10 green bird's eye chilies
  • palm sugar, to taste
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 clove garlic
  • boiled water, as needed
  • tamarind water
  • salt, to taste

Preparation

  1. Cut the tofu into pieces.

  2. Crush the chilies and onions, then add palm sugar, tamarind water, boiled water, and salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. Arrange the tofu in a container and pour the sauce over it. It is ready to serve.
