Indonesian Ketoprak Dish

Ingredients

  • Rice cake
  • Tofu
  • Vermicelli noodles
  • Bean sprouts
  • Crackers
  • Sweet soy sauce
  • Fried shallots

Peanut sauce

  • 3-4 tablespoons ground fried peanuts
  • 1/2 garlic clove
  • 3 bird's eye chilies, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon grated palm sugar
  • Salt
  • Water, as needed
  • Lime juice, as needed

Preparation

  1. Place the ground peanuts on a plate and pound them together with garlic, chilies, palm sugar, and salt until smooth, gradually adding a little water.

  2. Once the sauce is smooth and to your liking, add the cut rice cake, fried tofu, vermicelli noodles, and bean sprouts.

  3. Pour sweet soy sauce to taste, add crackers, and sprinkle with fried shallots.
