The Humble Ftoot Bread
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup warm almond milk
- 2-3 cups Nabulsi (cubes)
- 2 cups fresh thyme leaves
Preparation
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl or stand mixer. Then chuck in cheese, olive oil, and thyme leaves.
Slowly pour water and the milk into the mixture.
Knead until it forms into smooth and sticky dough.
Cover the dough and set aside in a warm place until it doubles in size.
Preheat oven at 200ºC.
Punch the dough down, shape it, and gently place it in a lined or greased baking pan.
Allow it to rest for 10 mins.
Bake for 15 mins or until the edges turn golden.
