Simple Moist Blender Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Topping

  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • chocolate sprinkles, to taste

Preparation

  1. Combine all cake ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth

  2. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round baking pan

  3. Bake at 350Β°F (180Β°C) for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean

  4. Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a wire rack

Topping

  1. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of the milk to form a slurry

  2. In a saucepan, combine the remaining milk, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder

  3. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally

  4. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5 to 10 minutes

  5. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature

Finishing

  1. Spread the cooled topping evenly over the cooled cake

  2. Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles to taste
