Blender Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup 50% cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder

Chocolate frosting

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons canned cream

Chocolate sauce

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup 50% chocolate (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour or cornstarch

Preparation

  1. Place eggs, milk, sugar, and oil in a blender and blend for 2 minutes

  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder; mix well

  3. Add the blended liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth

  4. Pour the batter into a greased medium baking pan

  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes

  6. Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a wire rack

  7. In a saucepan, combine milk, chocolate, sugar, butter, and flour (or cornstarch); cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened to a creamy sauce

  8. Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly

  9. Pour the sauce over the cooled cake

  10. Sprinkle with sprinkles to taste

  11. Serve immediately
