Traditional Brazilian PaΓ§oca Peanut Cake

Ingredients

Batter

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup crushed paΓ§oca
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Topping

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 200 g dulce de leche
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 crushed paΓ§ocas
  • 3 crushed paΓ§ocas for garnish

Preparation

Batter

  1. Blend all batter ingredients in a blender

  2. Pour into a greased and floured pan using a paper towel to grease the pan

  3. Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 40 minutes or until golden

  4. Once cooled, unmold the cake

Topping

  1. Cook topping ingredients over low heat, stirring constantly, until reaching a soft fudge-like consistency

  2. Pour over the cake and sprinkle with 3 crushed paΓ§ocas
