Pan-Cooked Lahmacun Without Oven

Ingredients

Dough

  • 5 cups plus 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Filling

  • 350 grams ground beef
  • 3 green bell peppers
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1.5 teaspoons red pepper powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons isot pepper
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon sweet pepper paste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation

  1. Mix the dough ingredients and knead until smooth, then let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Chop the vegetables finely by hand and combine with ground beef and all spices, pastes, and oil to prepare the filling.

  3. Divide the rested dough into equal portions and roll each piece into thin circles.

  4. Spread the filling evenly over the dough circles.

  5. Cook each lahmacun in a hot, lightly oiled pan until the bottom is crispy and the top is cooked through, flipping if necessary.
