Persimmon Overnight Oats with Cardamom
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
- 3/4 cup non dairy milk
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Small handful pecans, about 2 tablespoons
- 1/2-1 fresh persimmon
Preparation
Mix the rolled oats, chia seeds, milk and spices well in a 16oz. jar or bowl.
Wait 10-20 minutes or overnight for oats and chia to absorb the milk.
Wash, peel and slice persimmon.
Add pecans and sliced persimmon to your jar and enjoy.
Tips
Make a few at a time as a grab and go breakfast for busy winter mornings.
Persimmons can be pricey, so buy them when reasonably priced and use in various dishes.
