Simple Creamy Brazilian Cornmeal Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk (650 ml)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar (600 g)
  • 1 cup cornmeal (160 g)
  • 3 tablespoons wheat flour (33 g)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (30 g)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (50 g)
  • a pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Place all ingredients except baking powder in a blender and blend until smooth

  2. Gently mix in the baking powder

  3. Pour the batter into a medium greased and floured pan

  4. Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 40 minutes

  5. Remove from oven when golden; let cool before unmolding
