Fish Tajine with Tahini Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 large fish
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 2 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced

Garnish

  • pine nuts

Preparation

  1. Prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini, lemon juice, and water until smooth and set aside

  2. Layer the sliced potatoes, onions, and tomatoes in a tajine pot or baking dish

  3. Season the fish with salt, black pepper, and cumin

  4. Place the seasoned fish on top of the layered vegetables

  5. Pour the tahini sauce over the fish and vegetables, then drizzle with olive oil

  6. Cover and cook in the oven or on the stove until the fish is done and vegetables are tender

  7. Garnish with pine nuts before serving
