Easy 5-Minute Cheat Donuts

Ingredients

  • 4 M&S Japanese Style Milk Buns
  • 1 M&S Madagascan Vanilla Custard
  • 2 eggs
  • Splash of milk
  • 100g caster sugar
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 vanilla pod (optional)

Preparation

  1. Scoop a little hole in the bun, making sure to keep the plug you scooped out.

  2. Fill the hole with M&S Madagascan custard and seal it closed with the bread plug.

  3. Whisk up the eggs and a splash of milk with a fork.

  4. Dip the filled buns into the egg mix and coat thoroughly.

  5. Heat a little oil in a pan on medium heat and pan fry the donuts on all sides for a crispy coating. Place on kitchen paper to drain any excess oil.

  6. Roll in sugar and enjoy.

Tips

  1. For best results, infuse sugar with a vanilla pod in an airtight container to make vanilla sugar for coating.
