Chai Spiced Oatmeal with Almonds and Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats (gluten free if needed)
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp dried ginger powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp slivered or chopped almonds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • a splash of coconut milk to serve

Optional toppings

  • sliced plums
  • black grapes
  • quinoa puffs
  • edible violets
  • extra dash of cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Cook the oats and water together with the spices for a few minutes until desired consistency.

  2. Pour into your favorite bowl, top with almonds and drizzle over the maple syrup.

  3. Serve with coconut milk and optional other toppings.
