Chai Spiced Oatmeal with Almonds and Maple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup oats (gluten free if needed)
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp dried ginger powder
- 0.5 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tbsp slivered or chopped almonds
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- a splash of coconut milk to serve
Optional toppings
- sliced plums
- black grapes
- quinoa puffs
- edible violets
- extra dash of cinnamon
Preparation
Cook the oats and water together with the spices for a few minutes until desired consistency.
Pour into your favorite bowl, top with almonds and drizzle over the maple syrup.
Serve with coconut milk and optional other toppings.
