Apple Pie Oats Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients

Porridge

  • 50 g quick oats
  • 350 ml homemade almond milk
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or any sweetener)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Apples

  • 1 red apple
  • 1 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

  1. In a small pot, bring the almond milk and the oats to a boil.

  2. Turn down the heat and keep cooking them while stirring for 5-10 mins.

  3. Once it looks almost ready, add all the spices and maple syrup.

  4. On a pan, melt the butter and mix in the sugar and cinnamon.

  5. Once it looks caramelized, add in the cut up apple and cook them until it gets soft.

  6. Top the oats with the apples and warmed up Speculoos spread.
