Classic Brazilian Condensed Milk Caramel Pudding
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C)
Blend the eggs in a blender until well combined
Add the condensed milk and continue blending
Add the evaporated milk and continue blending while making the caramel
In a small saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until dissolved
Once the sugar is completely melted, add the water and let it thicken
Pour the caramel into a mold and let it cool
After the caramel has cooled, pour the blended mixture over the caramel
Place the mold in a larger baking dish, pour hot water around it to create a water bath, and cover the mold with a lid or foil
Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
