Classic Brazilian Creamy Cornmeal Cake
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups whole milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups fine cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons unsalted margarine
- 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Preparation
In a blender, blend all ingredients except the baking powder
Transfer the batter to a bowl, add the baking powder and mix
Pour the batter into a large tube pan or two small ones, greased with margarine and dusted with all-purpose flour and cornmeal
Bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C for about 35 minutes or until golden brown
Let cool, unmold and serve
