Grandma's Fluffy Golden Orange Cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Optional topping
- 1 large orange
Preparation
Sift the all-purpose flour into a bowl to avoid lumps, then mix in the baking powder and set aside
In a blender, beat the eggs until air bubbles form, then add the oil and sugar while blending
Pour the blended mixture and orange juice over the flour mixture
Gently mix until well combined, then pour into a greased and floured pan
Bake at 200Β°C for about 40 minutes or until golden
Tips
If serving immediately, squeeze a large orange over the hot cake for a moist texture
Note: This topping should only be added when serving right away to prevent bitterness
