Eggless Malaysian Roti Canai

Ingredients

Preparation

  2. Gradually add flour while kneading to form a smooth dough.

  3. Knead until the dough is smooth.

  4. Shape the dough into balls of desired size, yielding about 8 to 10 pieces.

  5. Lightly apply oil to the balls and let them rest for 3 to 4 hours.

  6. Stretch each dough ball thinly.

  7. Fry in a pan with a small amount of oil until cooked.

Tips

  1. Use only a little oil for frying; it may appear more when the bread is submerged.

  2. The tossing method can be learned from online sources, but simply pulling the dough works well if not skilled.
