Epic Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting

Ingredients

Cake

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 12 Medjool dates
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 3/4 cup buckwheat flour
  • 3/4 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Frosting

  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Put the bananas, almond milk, dates, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar in a blender and mix until smooth batter, then transfer to a bowl.

  3. Mix the other ingredients in a separate bowl and add the creamy mixture, then stir together.

  4. Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake the cake for 55 minutes in the oven.

  5. Mix the ingredients for the frosting and spread it over the cake.

Tips

  1. Optionally finish with berries.
