Pan-Cooked Barbecue Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon mixed tomato paste
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 2.5 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon isot pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

  1. Prepare the sauce and coat the washed chicken thoroughly.

  2. Place the chicken on a pan lined with parchment paper.

  3. Cook covered on low heat for about 40 minutes.

  4. Flip the chicken, then cook uncovered on very low heat for another 40 minutes.

  5. Serve with chickpea rice and salad.
