Traditional Brazilian Condensed Milk Pudding
Ingredients
Pudding
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (14-ounce) can whole milk (use condensed milk can as measure)
- 3 large eggs
Syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water
Preparation
Beat the eggs well in a blender
Add the condensed milk and milk, and blend again
Melt the sugar in a pan until brown, add the water and let it thicken
Pour the caramel into a round mold and pour the pudding mixture over it
Bake in a moderate oven for 45 minutes, with the round mold placed inside a larger pan containing water
Prick with a fork to check if it's well baked
Let cool and unmold
