Savory Baked Tofu Lunch Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
Preparation
Drain and press the tofu using methods listed below.
Cut the pressed tofu into cubes.
Place the tofu in a medium-sized Tupperware container.
Add remaining ingredients, seal the container, and gently shake to coat the tofu evenly.
Place the coated tofu on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 400°F for 25 minutes.
Serve as desired.
Tofu pressing tips
Pressing tofu removes water to improve texture and marinating; press for at least an hour if possible.
Wrap the tofu block in paper towels or a clean towel, place between two plates, and add a heavy book on top.
Alternatively, use a tofu press or opt for pre-pressed super firm tofu that is vacuum-packed.
