Banana and Chia Seed Porridge with Plant Milk
Ingredients
- oats
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- water or plant-based milk
Toppings
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
- sliced banana
- blueberries
- granola
- maple fruit
- chia jam
- toasted almonds
- additional chia seeds
Preparation
In a pan, add oats, 1 mashed banana, and 1 tablespoon chia seeds, then cover with water or plant-based milk; soak overnight or cook gently.
Add more liquid until the desired texture is reached.
While the porridge is cooking, in a small frying pan, add 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup and heat it.
Add sliced banana to the syrup, turning occasionally until golden.
Add blueberries and cook for a couple of minutes.
Remove the topping mixture from heat.
Spoon the porridge into a bowl and add toppings such as granola, maple fruit, chia jam, toasted almonds, and additional chia seeds.
