Chai Spiced Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 3 dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 3/4 cup oat milk
  • 1 tbsp tahin
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 chai teabag

Preparation

  1. In a small pan, combine hot water, oat milk and the chai teabag

  2. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 5-8 minutes

  3. Get out the teabag (squeeze to get out all the flavors)

  4. Now add your oats and chopped dates

  5. Stir well and bring to a boil again

  6. Let simmer until your favourite consistency

  7. Then add the tahin, cinnamon and salt

  8. Serve warm, I served mine with some apple and extra cinnamon
