Vegan Apple Strudel with Cinnamon and Maple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of vegan puff pastry
- 4 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon flaked almonds
- 1 tablespoon vegan butter
- 1/3 cup water
Preparation
In a pot, add the apples, cinnamon, maple syrup, and water. Cook on medium heat, adding extra water as needed until apples are soft. Set aside to cool.
Add the cooked apples to the puff pastry sheet and roll into a log. Make a few slits on top. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Halfway through, brush with vegan butter and add flaked almonds.
