Delicious Homemade Chocolate Granola

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats (gluten-free if necessary)
  • 1 cup buckwheat
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut flakes
  • 1 cup hazelnuts (walnuts are also delicious)
  • 1/4 cup 30g chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. fine grain sea salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (if you want a chocolatey granola)

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Celsius.

  2. Combine all of your dry ingredients in one bowl while melting the coconut oil on low medium heat.

  3. Add the honey or maple syrup to the pan and combine until smooth.

  4. Pour this over your dry ingredients and gently fold or mix your mixture.

  5. Spread this mixture evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

  6. Flip the granola and bake for another 10 minutes to ensure it is toasted and crunchy.
