Maple Pecan Oats
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
Preparation
Add all ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer
Stir oats and cook for about 3-5 minutes to allow to thicken
Top with fruit or add some extra pecans and a drizzle of maple syrup to your hearts content
If you’d like to leave out the maple syrup, feel free to add 2 mashed medjool dates (kind of makes the oats taste like a pecan pie
