Slimming World Low-Syn Pie

Ingredients

Pastry base

  • 25g homepride plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons Tesco butterpak spreadable
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of white pepper

Filling

  • Vegetarian chicken (e.g., What the Cluck)
  • Plant bacon
  • Mushrooms
  • 3 extra light cheese triangles
  • Water
  • Garlic powder
  • Tarragon
  • White pepper

Pastry top

  • 35g puff pastry

Additional

  • Beaten egg for brushing
  • Cold water for dough

Preparation

  1. Rub the flour, butter spread, salt, and pepper together until combined.

  2. Add a splash of cold water little by little to form a dough.

  3. Rest the dough in the fridge.

  4. Roll out the dough to cover the pie dish and brush with beaten egg.

  5. Cook vegetarian chicken, plant bacon, and mushrooms.

  6. Add cheese triangles, water, garlic powder, tarragon, and white pepper to the filling and allow to cool completely.

  7. Fill the pie dish with the cold filling mixture.

  8. Top with rolled puff pastry and brush with beaten egg.

  9. Bake in the oven until golden, about 16 to 20 minutes.

  10. Reheat before serving if necessary.
