Matcha Latte Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp matcha
  • 1 to 2 tsp sweetener of choice
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla soy milk
  • 1 banana, sliced or mashed (optional)

Preparation

  1. Combine all dry ingredients first (I find it helpful to prevent clumping of matcha by sifting it through a mesh strainer)

  2. Add milk and sliced bananas and bring to a simmer

  3. Stir as it cooks, allowing to thicken 3 to 5 minutes, then remove from heat

  4. Serve with fruit of choice
