Homemade Nutty Chunky Granola
Ingredients
- 5 cups rolled oats
- 3 cups nuts of your choice (e.g., almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup honey (increase to 3/4 cup for sweeter taste)
- 2 tbsp vanilla
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 160C (325F) and line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
Add the oil, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt to a large bowl and whisk until well mixed.
Add the oats and nuts, and mix thoroughly.
Spread the oat mixture on the lined baking tray and press firmly to form clusters.
Bake for 30 minutes in the center of the oven.
Let it cool completely at room temperature.
Break into clusters starting from the edges. If the center is underdone, return to oven for 5 to 7 minutes and cool fully.
Store in an airtight container.
Tips
Press the mixture firmly for larger clusters.
Adjust honey for desired sweetness level.
