Quick and Healthy Apple Breakfast Crisp in a Mug
Ingredients
- 2-3 heaped tbsp oats, blended to a flour
- 2 heaped tbsp oats
- 1 heaped tsp reduced-fat margarine (or any margarine)
- Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tbsp syrup of choice
- 3 heaped tbsp apple sauce/puree
Preparation
In a mug, mix all the ingredients except the apple to create a crumble mixture.
Place the apple puree in the bottom of another mug and top it with the crumble mixture.
Microwave on high for one minute.
Serve with vanilla yogurt to keep it healthy.
Tips
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free oats.
For a vegan version, use dairy-free margarine and yogurt.
To make a larger portion, increase the ingredients per person and microwave in a large bowl. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.
If you don't have a microwave, bake it in the oven for 10 minutes.
