Banana Peanut Butter Oats with Cooked Pears

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 sliced banana or replace with 2 tsp sweetener
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pear, chopped
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Add all oats ingredients to a saucepan, stir to combine, and cook for 5 minutes until thickened.

  2. Chop one pear into cubes.

  3. Place the chopped pear in a pan with 2 tsp maple syrup, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon.

  4. Sauté on low heat until the maple syrup coats the pears and they soften and brown.

  5. Add the sautéed pears on top of the cooked oats.
