Creamy Oatmeal with Caramelized Apples
Ingredients
- Rolled oats - 1 cup
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Soy milk - 1 cup
- Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger powder - 1 tsp
- Nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut sugar - 2 tbsp
- Coconut cream - 2 tbsp
Caramelized apples
- Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
- Apple - 2 peeled and sliced
- Coconut sugar - 3 tbsp
- Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
Preparation
Combine all the ingredients together (except coconut cream and sugar) in a pan and bring to a simmer, allow oats to cook until creamy in texture, stirring every few minutes.
Once done, add coconut cream and sugar, mix well, and turn off the heat. Cover with a lid until you prepare the caramelized apples.
In a pan, add oil and apples, and cook until golden brown, then add sugar and cinnamon, mix well, and cook until sugar dissolves and forms a thick sauce with caramelized flavor.
Serve it in your favorite bowl with the tasty apples.
