Creamy Oatmeal with Caramelized Apples

Ingredients

  • Rolled oats - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Soy milk - 1 cup
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger powder - 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coconut sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Coconut cream - 2 tbsp

Caramelized apples

  • Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
  • Apple - 2 peeled and sliced
  • Coconut sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp

Preparation

  1. Combine all the ingredients together (except coconut cream and sugar) in a pan and bring to a simmer, allow oats to cook until creamy in texture, stirring every few minutes.

  2. Once done, add coconut cream and sugar, mix well, and turn off the heat. Cover with a lid until you prepare the caramelized apples.

  3. In a pan, add oil and apples, and cook until golden brown, then add sugar and cinnamon, mix well, and cook until sugar dissolves and forms a thick sauce with caramelized flavor.

  4. Serve it in your favorite bowl with the tasty apples.
