Easy Custard Toast with Berries
Ingredients
- 2 slices soft bread
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp Greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
Make the custard mixture by adding the egg, yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla to a small bowl and whisk until well combined.
Prepare the bread by placing it on a baking tray and gently pressing into the middle with your fingertips or the back of a spoon to create an indent without going all the way through.
Spoon the custard mixture into the indented bread and add the berries.
Bake in the oven for 8-12 minutes until the custard is set and slightly caramelized.
Tips
The softer the bread, the better, as it will be easier to make the indent.
The number you make depends on the size and thickness of the bread.
Whisk the custard mixture well.
Keep an eye on the cooking time, as it varies depending on your oven and the size of the bread. It is ready when the custard is set and starting to caramelize on the edges.
