Trabzon Pide with Meat and Cheese

Ingredients

Dough

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Meat filling

  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 3 onions
  • 1 bowl parsley
  • Red pepper
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Cheese filling

  • Mixed kaşar cheese and ezine cheese

Preparation

  1. Knead the dough and let it rise.

  2. Meanwhile, sauté the onions in oil and add the ground meat.

  3. Once the meat is cooked, add parsley and spices, then remove from heat.

  4. Divide the dough into 6 pieces, let them rest, roll each out to the desired shape, then add the meat filling or cheese filling as preferred.

  5. Brush the edges with egg yolk or yogurt and bake in a preheated 250-degree oven until golden.

  6. As soon as it comes out of the oven, add butter.

Tips

  1. Adding butter immediately after baking enhances the flavor significantly.
