Easy Homemade Vegan Cinnamon Bread
Ingredients
- 250g whole wheat flour or all purpose flour
- 20g or half of a instant yeast cube
- 125ml plant milk
- Pinch of salt
- 2-3 teaspoons of date sugar
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 50g vegan butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Put flour in a bowl and make a hollow. Place crumbled yeast in it. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and milk. Set aside to rest for 15 minutes.
Add a pinch of salt, another teaspoon of sugar, melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
Use a hand mixer to knead and form the dough.
Set aside to rest for 35-45 minutes.
Cut dough into even slices and brush with melted vegan butter.
Place on parchment paper and bake at 170°C for 40 minutes.
After baking, mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle on top.
