Easy Homemade Vegan Cinnamon Bread

Ingredients

  • 250g whole wheat flour or all purpose flour
  • 20g or half of a instant yeast cube
  • 125ml plant milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2-3 teaspoons of date sugar
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 50g vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Put flour in a bowl and make a hollow. Place crumbled yeast in it. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and milk. Set aside to rest for 15 minutes.

  2. Add a pinch of salt, another teaspoon of sugar, melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.

  3. Use a hand mixer to knead and form the dough.

  4. Set aside to rest for 35-45 minutes.

  5. Cut dough into even slices and brush with melted vegan butter.

  6. Place on parchment paper and bake at 170°C for 40 minutes.

  7. After baking, mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle on top.
