Steak with Creamy Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 0.5 kg steak
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 heaping teaspoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 100 ml cream
- 1.5 cups water
- Black pepper
- Thyme
- Red pepper flakes
Preparation
Heat a pot with a lid and sear the meat with oil
Add onion and butter, and sauté until the onions are sweated
Add tomato paste and flour, stir until fragrant without overcooking, then add water and cook covered for 1.5 hours, adding more water as needed if the meat dries out
Once the meat is fully cooked, add cream, spices, and salt, then serve
