Sticky Marmite Chicken Fakeaway
Ingredients
- 600g boneless chicken thighs
- 4 tbsp corn flour
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Oil to fry
Sticky sauce
- 1 tablespoon marmite
- 2 tsp minced garlic (about 6 cloves)
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
Optional garnishes
- sesame seeds
- spring onion
- red chilli
Preparation
Chop the chicken into chunks and place in a bowl.
Pour 2 tablespoons soy sauce over the chicken, mix well, then sprinkle on the corn flour. Use your hands to fully coat the chicken in the cornflour.
Pan fry the chicken in a little oil until it’s golden, crispy, and cooked through. Keep stirring and set aside to drain on kitchen paper.
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Place the chicken back into a clean frying pan.
Pour the sauce over and stir on high heat until the sauce thickens and bubbles.
Serve immediately with rice, vegetables, and optionally sprinkle with chopped spring onions, sesame seeds, and chilli.
Tips
For a vegan version, substitute tofu for chicken.
