Gluten-Free Cinnamon Apple Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup cassava flour or oat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ceylon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup agave or pure maple syrup

Topping

  • About 2 Skout Organic Apple Pie bars

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and spray or line a baking sheet.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until a dough ball forms.

  5. Place the dough onto the baking sheet and press down into a circle about 1/2 inch thick. Use a pizza cutter to cut dough into 8 scones without separating them.

  6. Cut the Skout Organic Apple Pie bars into bite-sized pieces to top the scones.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes and allow them to cool on the baking sheet before cutting into slices.
