Iced Avocado with Basil Seeds

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil seeds

Preparation

  1. Soak the dried basil seeds in boiled water until they expand.

  2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, peel the skin, dice the flesh, and put it in a glass.

  3. Mix the sweetened condensed milk with water and the expanded basil seeds, then pour over the avocado in the glass.

  4. The avocado ice is ready to serve.

Tips

  1. To ripen avocados, cut horizontally the end where the stem was.

  2. Cover the cut tightly with tissue.

  3. Tape over the tissue with tape until securely attached.

  4. Store in a dark room for about 2 days. This helps the avocado release ethylene gas and prevents oxidation.
