Vegan Spiced Chickpeas on Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • A little olive oil
  • Smoked paprika
  • Sea salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Ground pepper
  • Pinch of chipotle powder
  • Pinch of cumin
  • Pinch of turmeric

Serving components

  • Toasted bread
  • Hummus or tahini or mashed avocado
  • Chopped fresh herbs

Preparation

  1. Drain the chickpeas.

  2. Cook the chickpeas in a pan with spices and a little olive oil for 3-5 minutes.

  3. Toast the bread.

  4. Serve the chickpeas on toasted bread with hummus, tahini, or mashed avocado and garnish with chopped fresh herbs.
